Leeds are so amazing!!
If anyone wants to watch them next season, they will be playing Hartlepool Utd in League 1................that how good they aren't! |

I agree with Hodge - Leeds are amazing! Having supported them for 37 years through ups and downs (a few too many downs if you ask me) I have spent the last 8 weeks thinking I would be able to watch them at the Bank next year (Sincil Bank that is).
Now Lincoln City have done their best to flunk an automatic promotion to the Third Division (sorry, League 1) I'll have to join Arnie at Hartlepool next season. Mind you I still hope the lads will avoid the drop this year!

Well unless we can knock in about 9 goals next weekend AND Hull City lose, that'll be LEEDS in third tier football for the first time!!
Arnie and Jeff Stelling - watch out next year!
BTW did anyone see some strange programme on TV the other day - about drag queens? There was 'Miss Portia', tall, slim but a bit camp, like a row of tents. I just kept wondering who he/she reminded me of...until I realised it was his/her accent and the fact that he/she was obviously from the Hartlepool area! Any relation Arnie?
Now, I guess that does come close to a bit of banter and I am fully prepared for some personal insults to come my way but please don't bother picking on the not-quite-so-mighty LEEDS. We'll be back.

Rob,
I don't think anyone else managed to catch that programme about Drag Queens but trust you to have done! However, now you mention it, Hartlepool is known as a hot bed for transgender and cross dressing activities as well as a footballing haven.....at least it's got one thing in common with Leeds and its not football!
I dont think Miss Portia is any relation but you never know with the 'milkman' around our area. I would ask Howie Heap if her knows of he/she, I know from Prague a few years ago that he has a soft spot for them.
By the way, as an aside, I am glad to see that modern technology has not escaped your grasp, it must be hard to get used to these new computer thingys but its good to see you can keep in touch, I am sure telegrams were good in their day tho eh! FYI, if you are missing the them, I think there is still an example in the Cabinet War Rooms.
Arnie
I just give the public what they want!
