All,
My lovely girlfriend (I have to say that, she is watching me type!) has suggest a summer, close season day out which I think is a damn sterling suggestion.
How about a jaunty day out at Alton Towers????????
We could stay over in the mess at RAF Stafford the evening before for a couple of cheeky G&T's or Pimms which would set us up quite nicely for the 20miles journey to AT the day after.
Let me know what you think. Partners welcome, not date set yet.

I think Arnie has hit the nail on the head!
Would be a great way for us all to keep 'tight' over the close season break, and give us a chance to have a few cheeky ones together (Arnie/Greg, don't worry i won't get so merry this time....).

Good news,
Even at this early stage it looks like their will be enough of us to do the old Alton Towers thing!
So, first things second, we need to set a provisional date.
Fran and I are free the following weekends (school term ends 20 Jul):
2/3, 9/10, 30 Jun (and 1 Jul)
7/8 Jul
4/5, 11/12 Aug
I suggest the Aug dates as it will be a nice start to the new season and it means Fran and I can have a leisurely drive up on Fri as she will be finished school.
How about 4/5 Aug? Of course this is flexible if it is a problem with anyone else. I reckon a trg weekend on one of the jul dates also sounds good (John!)

Jimbo,
Do not be concerned about not making the decisions, it's for your own good afterall. We know you have a hard enough time counting up all that Accounts money with your fingers........1, 2, 4, 7, we don't want to put you under any extra pressure, the goals might dry up!
As for the legend who wears No 8, I thought that was Gazza? Still, it wouldn't be surprising if we cought you crying like a baby if Fishman overtook you on the goals chart.......not that it is likely to happen (Fishman still counts half goals a la Si Hays!)
That's a fair point mate. I would cry if he overtook me with proper goals but none of this half goal rubbish!!! That's just blatent cheating.
I like to think I make the decisions, it makes me feel better but you all are in the same baot and know full well you do not have a say in the matter!!!
Gazza has nothing on me by the way! _________________ The legend that wears Number 8!!!

Boys, boys
Let's not get carried away now.
Firstly, Arnie I'm afraid to say that I am going to diregard all comments made by you, with regards to the art of goal scoring!
Now fans, before you start a Fishman backlash, you might want to log onto the Icarus Stats page and see just how insignificant Mr Arnison's finishing has contributed, towards the impressive Icarus goals tally (Since time began).
Arnie, that may seem a little harsh mate, but are you honestly telling me, and the press, that IF you had have converted, what seemed like THE unmissable chance, against Bromley Vets, you would have only counted that goal (your ONLY goal), as a half? I think not old bean.........
Right then 'The legend that wears number 8', whilst I love your entheusiasm for "getting em all", I am not so keen to start a goal scoring competition between you and I. Sure I know I have scored a few insignificant goals this year against teams such as the RAF RT, and such like, however I take great pride in giving you the confidence to 'bomb on' during fixtures, leaving me to defend for you. I am more than happy to sit in front of the back four for 90 minutes, picking up the loose ends, the goals are just a bonus!
Quite funny actually that as an offensive (not in the bad language kind of way) midfielder, you actually see ME, the holding midfielder a real threat to your goal scoring crown! Bless.

Ill put it to Kerry Jane and get back to you .... i think its an awesome idea..... and will resolve the withdrawal sympton like problems most of us have pre season.....
Ill ask her nicely mind.... _________________ "...well Lee, they say any landing is a good landing"
"Thanks Sir, that was one of my better ones"
I don't know this banter can't be good for team moral, then again, sod it and lets continue!
You know Fishman that we as a club are still trying to develop you as a player and therefore I feel it is my obligation to test you occasionally byseeming like I have deserted you in the midfiel. Facing diversity head on is the only way you will learn to be a truely great player. You know that when push comes to shove I will always be there watching your back and with my blistering pace I can always get back and bail you out when the pressure of holding that midfield together just gets that little bit too much!
Now Arnie, although I appreciate that you were on my side in the half goal slagging, I have to agree with the Fishman, your comments shouldn't count. How anyone, regardless of position cannot score in their entire Icarus career is beyond me!!!
Oh, and Fishman, just remember the goal you scored against 2MT obviously slightly deflected off the back of my head and therefore I should claim it, but being the nice kind gentlemen I am, I will let you have it.
Dear all, remember it is the RAF Cup Final on Wed at Uxbridge 1500 ko. Come and have a wee watch if you can make it!!!
Fishman, I will be down from Tue afternoon so will try and meet up if you can't make it to the game.
Get every last one of them till there is not a sole standing!!!!! _________________ The legend that wears Number 8!!!

'Legend'
Don't want to be picky mate, but I see that your spelling and grammar skills are just as fine tuned as your penalty taking ones......
Will be good to see you on Tues, I will be at Uxbridge tomorrow afternoon with the Dev side, so can hang around if you are coming down! Or if you would prefer, I could arrange for Sarah to give you a few hours tuition, in developing your English? Up to you really.
